Thickness Gauge
The thickness gauge system includes the generation and detection housed in a compact head and dedicated for time-of-flight measurement. The system is capable of monitoring on rapidly moving objects for production line inspection.
History
The TEMPO 2D was born from research and development grant by NASA. The optical setup was inspired by the TEMPO 1D except that the photo-detector is a custom linear array capable of detecting both the in-plane and out-of-plane contributions of the surface displacement. The system is capable of reconstructing the entire ultrasonic field.
